<p><span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>WHAT IF&#8230;</strong></span></p>
<p>I told you that you could volunteer right from the tip of your lunch or dinner fork, would you believe me?  Seriously, would you?  I used to think the term volunteering meant that you had to go and spend a couple of your hours here/ there assisting a charity of choice with certain needs throughout there day, etc.  While you still do that, there are some creative ways organizations are taking their volunteer efforts to new heights and I&#8217;m here to tell you about a new form that I learn about this past Monday!<span id="more-700"></span></p>
<p>Volunteering on wheels!</p>
<p>Curious?</p>
<p>Well, it&#8217;s A <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>FOOD TRUC<span style="color:#00ff00;">K</span>!!</strong></span>    This isn&#8217;t your typical set of wheels, this isn&#8217;t your typical food truck either, this is a gourmet food truck with an <strong><span style="color:#00ff00;">INSPIRATIONAL PURPOSE!</span></strong>  One that you&#8217;ll want to come back for seconds and possibly thirds&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/img_8116.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-701" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/img_8116.jpg?w=300" alt="IMG_8116" width="300" height="225" /></a> <em><strong><span style="color:#00ff00;">Give &amp; Grub</span></strong> Gourmet Food Truck</em></p>
<p>This past Monday, the <a href="http://tampabaybloggers.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tampa Bay Bloggers </a>and I were invited over to join the <a href="http://www.giveandgrub.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Give &amp; Grub</a> for a nice evening out to taste their <a href="http://www.giveandgrub.com/menu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gourmet menu items</a> prepared by Chef Brian and learn more about the <strong><span style="color:#00ff00;">Give &amp; Grub</span></strong> purpose.  I had no idea what they had in store for us to taste.  I was literally blown away by the food and by their mission.   On our evening out, we got to hangout with some other pretty cool guests&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/img_8165.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-702" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/img_8165.jpg?w=300" alt="IMG_8165" width="300" height="300" /></a>  <em><a href="http://lightning.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=90746" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tampa Bay Lightning Girls</a> &#8211; Honorary lightning cheerleader? I&#8217;ll take it 🙂</em></p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/img_8147.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-703" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/img_8147.jpg?w=300" alt="IMG_8147" width="300" height="225" /></a> <em><a href="http://lightning.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=50418" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Thunderbug</a> is Sticking it to hunger!</em></p>
<p>So <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>Give &amp; Grub</strong> </span>food truck has teamed up with <a href="http://www.laserspineinstitute.com/landing/tampa/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Laser Spine Institute</a> and the <a href="http://lightning.nhl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tampa Bay Lightning</a> to fight hunger in the Tampa Bay area.  This is an <strong>AWESOME</strong> way for the company and <strong>NHL</strong> franchise to stick it to hunger right here in our back yard!</p>
<p><span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>So check this out&#8212;-&gt;</strong></span> For every gourmet menu item sold at the <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>Give &amp; Grub</strong></span> food truck, Laser Spine Institute donates a meal to a hungry child in the Tampa Bay area. <strong>WHAT?!?!?</strong>  How <strong>AMAZING</strong> is that?!?!  This project is supported by a partnership with <a href="https://feedingamericatampabay.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Feeding America Tampa Bay</a> &amp; <a href="http://www.metromin.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Metropolitan Ministries.</a></p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/stats-1.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-704" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/stats-1.jpg?w=300" alt="stats (1)" width="468" height="232" /></a> (<em>Stats provided by courtesy of <strong><span style="color:#00ff00;">Give &amp; Grub</span></strong></em>)</p>
<p>I think I&#8217;ve kept you waiting long enough, let&#8217;s check out some of the delish dishes, shall we? Oh, and shall I forget to say&#8230; ALL these menu items that are served on the <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>Give &amp; Grub</strong></span> truck were inspired by the Tampa Bay Lightning Team and named after some of the personnel!!</p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/callahans-mac-slam.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-705" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/callahans-mac-slam.jpg?w=300" alt="Callahan's Mac Slam" width="461" height="272" /></a> <em>(Photo courtesy of <strong><span style="color:#00ff00;">Give &amp; Grub</span></strong>) Let&#8217;s take for instance, Callahan&#8217;s Mac Slam named after Ryan Callahan.  Nope, this is NO ORDINARY Mac &#8211; n &#8211; Cheese!  Seared Kielbasa, Caramelized Peppers &amp; Onions, Cavatappi &amp; Creamy Boursin.  So much <strong>GOODNESS</strong> in your mouth!</em></p>

<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/hedmans-steak-tacos.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-707" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/hedmans-steak-tacos.jpg?w=227" alt="Hedman's Steak Tacos" width="393" height="520" /></a> <em>(Photo courtesy of <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>Give &amp; Grub</strong></span>) Hedman&#8217;s Steak Tacos consists of skirt steak, purple cabbage, chipotle glaze, roasted corn pico de gallo and is served with Tijuana rice and plantains.  There are so many wonderful flavors going on in this dish!  You&#8217;ll definitely want seconds!</em></p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/slap-shot-chicken-salad.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-713" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/slap-shot-chicken-salad.jpg?w=300" alt="Slap Shot Chicken Salad" width="398" height="289" /></a><em> (Photo courtesy of <strong><span style="color:#00ff00;">Give &amp; Grub</span></strong>) Slapshot Chicken Salad consists of herb-roasted chicken, cranberries, roasted beets, sugared walnuts, fuji apple vinaigrette and baby greens!  Such a colorful and fun salad.</em></p>
<p><a href="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/hat-trick-chicken-sliders.jpg"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-710" src="https://www.noordinaryliz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/hat-trick-chicken-sliders.jpg?w=243" alt="Hat Trick Chicken Sliders" width="393" height="485" /></a> <em>(Photo courtesy of <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>Give &amp; Grub</strong></span>) Hat Trick Chicken Slider consists of slow-smoked chicken, housemade pickles and southern coleslaw on bavarian rolls.  You can&#8217;t go wrong with this!</em></p>
<p>So do I have you <strong>HUNGRY YET?</strong></p>
<p>Are you wondering where the volunteering comes to play?</p>
<p><strong>Here&#8217;s how:</strong></p>
<p>Visit <a href="http://www.giveandgrub.com/menu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GiveAndGrub.com</a> to find out where they&#8217;ll be venturing to next, or you can follow them on <a href="https://instagram.com/giveandgrub/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a> or <a href="https://twitter.com/giveandgrub/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Twitter</a>.  For every meal purchased at their <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>Give &amp; Grub</strong></span> food truck, another meal will be donated to someone in need, PLUS every time you use the  <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>#GiveAndGrub</strong></span> on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/giveandgrub" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook</a>, Twitter or Instagram, they will also donate a meal!  So to put this into perspective for you, the Tampa Bay Bloggers and I shared the love over all social media channels during our evening via tweeting, instagramming, &amp; retweeting, etc. and we collectively as a group using the <span style="color:#00ff00;"><strong>#GiveAndGrub</strong></span> had shared it <strong>2800</strong> times, therefore providing <strong>2800</strong> meals to our community!  <strong>THINK ABOUT THAT!</strong></p>
<p>Soooo, want to stick it to hunger with me?  Time to pick up your <strong>FORK!</strong></p>
<p><em>This review is written by me on behalf of Give &amp; Grub and the Laser Spine Institute.  The opinions in this post are all mine.</em></p>
